How do I activate my license key?
Run Defendrix, pick Business on the first-launch wizard, and paste your DFX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX key. The Personal flow asks for a username + password first, then the key during account creation.
I only see some of my seats counted - is the rest billed?
No. Defendrix only bills you for activated devices. If your Enterprise key has 50 seats and 30 machines have activated, you pay for 30. The other 20 are reserved capacity, free until used.
Does Defendrix replace Windows Defender?
No. Defendrix runs alongside Microsoft Defender. Defender remains your primary real-time antivirus; Defendrix adds a second opinion on top with behavioral detection, vulnerability scanning, and fleet management. The installer asks Defender to exclude only Defendrix's own install folder so Defender does not quarantine our binaries.
Does Defendrix work without internet?
Yes. Local-only mode keeps every protection running. License verification has a 7-day offline grace window so brief outages don't lock you out.
How does the multi-site fleet work?
By default UDP/50844 discovery is LAN-only. To unify multiple offices into one fleet, layer Tailscale on every Defendrix device - it's free up to 100 nodes and tunnels through any firewall.

Email us at sales@ravensoftworks.com with your key. We extend by 365 days and you get a renewal invoice at the discounted rate.
